Why Do “They” Hate Us?
The past two years have been the perfect Sociological study of America. And the results will have you smoking many, many bowls to relax and recover. Or just me. Doing it for you.
The question above is so much deeper than one question. Depending on who you are and what your bag is? Indica or Sativa, for example. “They “can look like many different things! Ranging from old friends, classmates or lovers with no pronoun exclusivity. Or a complete list of batshit strangers with some crazy political ideology that is bound to trounce on your rights to exist. Yes, just breathe! Inhale.
The weed game has them too. In Different corners. Venture capitalists looking to corner the market and use the courts and the law to shut down the little guy. When legalization became a good thing? For some? It didn’t change a thing. A legal license that costs 500k plus in some states means still means little to the guy growing, cultivating and feeding a family off of cannabis! It can’t return the years lost behind bars for something the indigenous people grew and smoked for generations before the Smallpox pandemic saw this country gain a new landlord. Bringing law and industry that decided Hemp wasn’t profitable enough to live either. Especially when trees had to be cut down to make room for settlers anyway!
Profit. That is what is behind legalization. The need for the conqueror to once again, conquer and discover a new world that already exists! And tax it! Hard. Luckily and, unluckily for me? Doing time for selling a product I always smoked before I could attain that problem is not a problem! Never get high on your own supply always seemed….counterproductive? I even smoked blunts across the street from Queens Central Booking with Biggie himself back in the day. Knowing one day, I could say(see last sentence). My memories of the Buds are all good because of days or weeks like that. Who can remember? But I can’t imagine what it would be like to do time for God’s plant. But then again? Which means shit to anyone who spent even one day incarcerated for bullshit while liquor execs lived the good life driving past DWI’s and killing their bodies internal organs. One shot at a time.

Which is highly uncool and why “they” will always need to Co-opt your existence. Because “they” don’t possess the chill required to enjoy the plants of the Diaspora. Some do. Many, in fact.
